The TIFF format is the gold standard format for print production. It stores files with full lossless quality and handles very high bit depths. The downside is file size — a one TIFF file from high-end cameras can easily be 50 to 100 megabytes. When you need to share or distribute TIFF images, changing them to JPG greatly decreases image weight
